Created a draft of the library for the new school year, I did not have pictures of current information. I used youtube to help me out to target and work with Thinglink.com. I actually used Skitch app from my Mac to creat the outline of the library and then uploaded the image to Thinglink and added the videos. The task was somewhat challenging and interesting to work with. The great authenticity of this work can be posted on your school webpage and advocates an expert guideline for students , staff and community to easily locate information within the library. Challenging, but worth the experience of getting to know the website and I foresee working more with it in the future.
All sites had great benefits to offer to the Love of Readers and must admit, that being not so into blogs and just becoming familiar with a variety of online communities, I am very pleased and found all sites to be interesting and enticing. All sites will help me grow as an educator and in the field of being a better Librarian for the future. Furthermore, the one I feel that would be of great benefit to my line of work, would definitely be Biblionasium. Even though it will require more of my time to set up and create my groups, the big plus here is that is is controlled and parent informed which build an even better advocacy to the community. More so, I was impressed with using the Skitch software to upload, comment and design certain features the software allows for Mac users. Sketch was simple and easy to use and great to promote the sites researched.
I listened to a few podcast on iTunes and was amazed on how so many do exist. However I have created a few podcast for other classes using Sound Cloud and it is easier for me to just record and share, plus I am comfortable with how simple it is to just record and share. Sound Cloud is available free on ITunes and Android apps and access to free account. I have worked with Audacity a number of times to cut down lengths of songs for "TALENT SHOWS" and it is a long process having to work with the music and then having to convert to MP3, once you have the practice.
Toon doo was fun to work with, though I had trouble with the site on my Mac and was not able to find it on iPhone apps. I had to use a PC to create the comic strip and was limited to using a layout of two squares. Tried using a three square layout and it slowed down computer and kept giving me errors. Once I started working with it, the site had so many characters and backgrounds to chose from which was nice. I really liked the different options of selecting the bubble speeches and the different font was appealing for me.
Pixton was user friendly creating character position and facial emotions. Simple and great site to have students create their own dialogue possibly expressing their opinions of books or report on simple research on biographies. Students will have fun playing around creating their dialogues and with the correct guidance, students will have a successful educational comic strip.

Website is a much popular site viewed and used by many all over the world. Information in all areas are posted daily by all age group. For, example, I have used Youtube.com on a number of occasions on tutorials on current Math for financial literacy to try to make teaching the concept easier for students to grasp the understanding. The great advantage of YouTube is access to many How to tutorials available.
The North High School Library
Most helpful to students:
"How to Use EBSCOHost" is a great tutorial on how to research articles and magazines dated from twenty years ago to the current date. I myself found the video informative and creditable to my current line of work. The information given is detailed and a step by step process with clear instructions.
Video students would like best:
"Tiger visit the North High Library" is one I feel students will enjoy most for the reason, a tiger visiting a library is somewhat of a cool issue. The music in the background makes it all the more pleasant watching a tiger entering a library to inquire on research, using the databases and giving awareness of fun activities/ clubs taking place at the Library.
The Unquiet Library
Most helpful to students: "Video tutorial How to embed a Prezi Presentation in Wikispaces" Many students are very tech savvy and I feel this is an informational video for all students, including myself. High school students, as on the video, are being asked to create wiki pages to present portfolios and class assignments that meet 21st century skills. Students greatly benefit from this video and the steps are thorough and precise.
Video students would like most: An upbeat, colorful and creative video with information on licensing. Students are given a brief but poignant importance of copyright.
Pikesville Library
Which is most helpful to students:
"Registration Process" informative video to guide students on what to expect at registration. Students at times feel timid and shy to ask question on what is needed to do. The registration video gives explicit information on what is important in registration.
Video students would like best:
"The Panthers Library shakes" was the most viewed with 302 views of the video. Short video clip doing the Harlem shake, students looked like they really enjoyed working the video. Everyone loves music.

So many to chose from, I liked them all and would like to do a parody myself sometime soon on overdue books. The videos were hilarious and informative, Who does that?!! Love IT!!!! According to the most views of 1,765 , Harlem Shake wins again. Students LOVE to be in videos, especially if it means to act out and be silly.

A website where to express and display and create a fun album of your most precious moments. Animate is user friendly snd simple to use, uploading, adding text, selecting your music. Simple.

QR Codes
QR codes are pretty much everywhere, I order my movie tickets online and a QR code is sent to my iPhone wallet for scanning at the theatre. Interesting how apps are in our lives. I created a QR for the book trailer on Animoto. I chose to do the Chicken Squad story because it will be one of the books we will be reading with this coming school years book club. From the short book trailer I created, I will have students build up questions and collaborate scenarios of the story line. QR codes will be a good use for the new listing of the Texas Bluebonnet List for the Elementary Library. The QR code generator was very simple to use, I had been panicking thinking I was going to spend hours trying to figure it out, YAY!!!!! Really YAY!!!!!
Vine is quite interesting, I am having to learn different ways of how to use current apps to improve or instill education and in my forties it has not been so bad, just quite interesting. My kids aren't liking it so much because I am using them to work on my assignments, I sure am having fun with some of these apps. I can see how Vine is a great advantage to capture student's attention with short clips of books, rules, what not do situation, as well as positive behavior. I will continue to play around with this app a little more with the expense of my children's exceptional summer "IT"S SOO BORING!!!!!" apparently lifestyles.
Instagram is a really cool app to promote to students and have them follow you. However, I am trying to see how I can promote this in an elementary since students aren't allowed to have phones, because in reality it would be the parents. Then again that would be even better for parents to be in touch with events taking place in the library. I just worry if innapropriate comments are made, I will not be able to screen any information being posted. Furthermore, I will inquire on using instagram at my school and promote it or have a survey on the Meet the teacher night and hopefully I will receive good responses and roll with it. Any comments??? ALL are welcomed.

I chose to use piktochart because I found it to be very similar to Smore website. Just like smore it is user friendly and as i worked with it more and more I was very comfortable to change text, add and change pics and work with the icons. I kept it simple to avoid to much clutter. I tried easil.ly and right away I was turned off by so much on the site that I didn't know where to begin. Piktochart right away gave me tutorial and and as I clicked to edit, i was given brief guides to follow on editing.
Social Media is the trend with "EVERYONE!!!" Everywhere you look, everywhere you go, people own a cellphone, people download apps, games, media, chat rooms, movies, etc. etc. Librarians have a good advantage to use social media to their benefit to promote library activities as I saw in one of the Facebook pages at Red Hook High School Library. A makerspace activity was being promoted on a Friday after school for duct tape crafting, beading, flower making and video editing. I suppose Facebook has its advantages given that the students have parental consent to be photographed and viewed on the internet. The page had no comments, however comments are not controlled by the individual who creates the page and some comments could be taken out of context or out of control when it comes to other people posting. Twitter has been sort of fun, just following and retweeting the posting. I have retrieved a long list of books to read from the twitter app. And have learned much from the professors on good book reads. It is interesting to know some professors include their workshops they will be having, for example Dr. Sheneman will be having a Discovery workshop on June 22, which I will be attending. For the most part, I have been following up on the American Association for School Librarians for updates on the latest books and companies that offer the latest on book purchasing.

A graphic novel composed of eight comics , The super secret ninja club, Book 'em Dog Man, Betty and the perilous pizza day, the magic acorn, Babymouse: the quest for recess, Jiminy Sprinkles in "freeze tag", 300 words, and The rainy day monitor. All comics are about recess and the hilarious things the kids do and experience. Hilariously funny with capturing images all synchronized in colors of orange, grey and white. A thumbs up keepsake.

A humorous picture book about friendship. Piggie found a ball and played with it until, until a BIG guy cam and took his ball. He is devastated and doesn't seem to know what to do. Gerald the elephant friend looks for the big guy to retrieve the ball. Unfortunately for Gerald, the guy is a whale much much BIGGER than him. Gerald was in tremendous shock and did not get the ball back. After awhile the whale thanks them for finding HIS ball. a beautiful book with illustrations that are extremely expressive and heartwarming.
